Please arrive 10 minutes early so that you have plenty of time to find parking, get settled in, relax and enjoy a tasty beverage before your salon or spa experience. 

 

CANCELLATIONS AND RESCHEDULING: Because salon and spa appointments are reserved especially for you, you must notify us at least 24hours in advance if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

Cancellations, reschedules or no-shows with less than 24 hours of the original scheduled treatment time will be charged at full value as if you had attended. Same day bookings are non-cancelable and are charged at full value if canceled. You may go online 24 hours or more in advance of your appointment to reschedule at www.lateliersalon.com or call 831-423-4247. Under 24 hours you must call reception and you may be charged if reception is unable to fill your original appointment. 

 

PARKING DOWNTOWN SANTA CRUZ: There are several options for parking in downtown Santa Cruz. Free short term parking is available directly in front of the L'Atelier Salon, this is a 3-hour lot enforced Monday through Saturday. There is metered parking all throughout downtown for shorter visits. Parking meters with blue poles are good for up to 12 hours, and each hour only costs $0.25! And for longer appointments there are pay-by-space parking lots, one is located directly behind the L'Atelier Salon through the Pearl Alley on Walnut St. This lot is 50 cents per hour or $5 for a full day.

HOW TO GET THE BEST OUT OF YOUR COLOR SERVICE: Please come with freshly washed hair (preferably use a deep cleansing shampoo) and well hydrated hair (preferably use a deep conditioning treatment) and refrain from using any styling products prior to your appointment. In order to get the best LIFE out of your color service, refrain from washing or wetting your hair for 72 hours or at least 24.

 

HOW TO GET THE BEST HAIRCUT POSSIBLE: If you are coming for a reshape/ trim, please come with your hair freshly washed and styled so that we may see how you like it best, how you are styling it at home and get a sense of your life style. If you are coming in for a shape change please come in with photos of your new idea. If you are not sure, please come in early to look through our magazines and start to get a sense of what you desire. Still not sure what you want? Don’t worry, we’ll help you to find that perfect new style just for you! 


FOR WAXING: IMPORTANT! Hair must be 1/4 inch long to be waxed. Please do not trim; that is part of a waxing service.

Waxing may NOT be done if you are or have recently taken any prescription skin care drugs, such as Accutane, Retin A, Renova, blood thinners or diabetic medications.

Minimum age for Brazilian and French waxing services is 18 years, 15+ for bikini with a female parent in the room.

Caffeine and medications both topical and ingested may compromise the integrity of your skin and alter your waxing results.

During your menses cycle you may experience higher levels of discomfort during a waxing service. Feel free to take ibuprofen 20 minutes prior to any waxing service.

We recommend that you avoid exercise, heat, sauna and sun exposure for 24 hours after your waxing service.

 

FOR FACIALS: You will be asked to undress to just your lower underpinnings for massage purposes.

Please wear loose fitting, comfortable clothes that are stain resistant, as essential therapeutic body oils may be used during your service.

If you have another engagement directly after your facial, you may book a shampoo, blow dry and style at the salon, accompanied by a complimentary make-up application should you choose.

Depending on the type of facial performed, your face may be red and/or "activated" for a few hours post facial. We do not recommend facial peels within two weeks of a special event.

 

HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR CND SHELLAC/MANICURE: If you are a first time client, come in 15 minutes early so you have time to fill out your "client intake form." This form helps ME to help YOU receive the best service possible, and the extra 15 minutes assures that we can have you in the room and the service is started on the dot of your appointment time (we don't want to deprive the quality of your service due to lack of time).

Nails may have polish on them already; removal is included in your service.

If you currently have CND shellac on your nails, make sure you are booked appropriately to include time for removal.

If you currently have any other product on your nails that is NOT CND shellac (off-brand gel polish, traditional gel nails, acrylic), please inform reception at the time you are booking your appointment to ensure proper booking time for removal. 

(NOTE: Removal of any other product besides nail polish will include an additional removal fee to CND shellac/manicure service)

-If you would like French polish or nail art, please inform reception at the time you are booking your appointment as these services take additional time.

-If booking a "full detail" manicure/shellac, please be prepared to remove any jewelery that you do not want product on.

Please arrive wearing bottoms that will work with service, preferably shorts, capris, or loose-legged bottoms that can be rolled up out of the way of the water level. Please, no skinny jeans or pants that are too fitted to roll up.

Sandals that expose all toes are preferable. If you arrive with closed toe shoes or sandals that hide any toenails, temporary take-home sandals can be provided at no extra charge.

 

HOW TO PREPARE FOR YOUR LASH EXTENSION APPOINTMENT: In order to prepare yourself for your appointment please come without eye make up and prepared to not shower or wash your face for at least 24 hours.

Prompt arrival is crucial in order for you to receive the most of your appointment. We reccomend arriving a little early so you can relax and enjoy the spa environment with a glass of wine or cup of tea, and your favorite magazine. 
Before beginning your treatment, you can expect your Lash Extentionist to thoroughly explain the ins and outs of your treatment and her expert opinion to customize the look you desire. Once ready to begin, you will lay down on a heated bed and close your eyes. Your technician will take care of the rest, individually placing each faux lash to each of your lashes to give you the look you've been waiting for. You are going to love Lash Day!

 

FOR MASSAGE: Please come prepared to undress to the level of your comfort. It is customary when receiving a full body massage to be fully undressed and draped for appropriate modesty.

Please wear loose fitting, comfortable clothes that are stain resistant, as essential therapeutic body oils may be used during your service.

A scalp massage is common during most massage appointments. As this may dishevel your hair, you may elect to bring a scarf or hat for a stylish exit following your visit.

If you have another engagement directly after your massage, you are invited book a shampoo, blow dry and style at the salon, accompanied by a complimentary make-up application should you choose. You'll be relaxed and looking great for your next event of the day!

Lash and/or brow tint. Lashes $30, brows $25 or $45 for both. You must have already enjoyed this service or come in for a predisposition test 24 hours prior to your appointment.

A mini makeover using our award winning Jane Iredale makeup, COMPLIMENTARY!

A clear OR color glossing service starting at $60. This service will guarantee gorgeously shinny hair that is smoother, color balanced and will even out hair texture and porosity. Also a great alternative to gray blending!

A styling lesson where your stylist will give you step by step instructions on how to style your hair at home and what hair care products and tools are best for accomplishing this, $60.
